ECG-Display on the PC Monitor During the running ECG examination up to 6 ECG channels are displayed on the PC monitor at the same time. The very high sampling rate of 2000 Hz per channel precisely detects even the smallest deviations in the ECG. All the parameters known from conventional ECG chart recorders, such as speed, amplification, filter choice, etc. are comfortably varied via the PC keyboard. The user has a free choice of the amount of displayed channels: whether chest leads or limb leads are desired, with the custo card M they can be displayed without problem. The user can decide at any time which leads are to be displayed. In addition, the freely programmable setting allows the realisation of special leads (for example Nehb's leads). Occurring interesting episodes can be stored or directly printed at the touch of a key. The quality of the ECG leads is supervised continually - any disturbances (such as a loose electrode) are indicated on the monitor immediately. At the same time, the corresponding light emitting diodes on the actual ECG module are activated. Basically, universal configurability was the main goal of the design without over-complicating the device unnecessarily. Therefore, all settings remain stored even after switching off. Results and Archiving Integrated into the program is the medico-technical data bank custo base. All long-term ECG data are automatically stored in this data bank and can be accessed at any time. In this data bank all results from long-term ECG, resting ECG, lung function, long-term blood pressure etc. can be combined. However, the data bank is not meant to serve as an archive. It is possible to access the complete evaluation again at any time on the PC-monitor and once again analyse and print it with the connected printer. Because of the thus realisable, direct possibility to compare several evaluations of a patient a, for example, efficient control of therapy and progress is comfortably supported. Archiving of any amount of data on disk or (optional) optical disk is completely supported by the data bank system, it is automatically registered on which data carrier the desired evaluation is stored. Documentation and Print-Out It is possible to document an ECG analysis on paper at any time. The user can effortlessly adapt the volume of this documentation to fit his needs - from a single page summary to a complete documentation of the measurements with all numerical values and ECG sections. Adjustments for standard print-outs made by the user are once again retained upon switching off the apparatus. In the appendix you will find several examples of the various output possibilities. Measurement and Interpretation A precise ECG measurement is an integral part of every ECG diagnosis, for example during the evaluation of changes of the ST segment. The measurement software included with custo card M supplies these results and presents them in a clear manner in the print-out. All measurement values -together with the print-out of the measured ECG complexes- can be written out in a table (see example print-outs in the appendix). Automatic Program In order to relieve quick work during daily practice routine, the custo card M incorporates an automatic program for resting ECG measurements. After controlling the leads on the monitor, a complete resting ECG is implemented, measured, stored in the data bank and printed at the touch of a key. It is possible to permanently store the form of this automatic print-out. Ergometrics (STRESS TEST) One of the application areas of an ECG chart recorder is the implementation of stress-test ECG measurements. Especially here, it very quickly becomes clear whether economical yet comfortable work is possible. custo card M supports all possibilities of ergometrics. Beginning with manual operation for simple ergometers to fully automatic ergometrics or treadmills with integrated blood pressure measurement . The exercise ECG is documented on the monitor and printed in detail. As with all other modes of operation of the device, the type and volume of this documentation can be adapted and configured to the needs of the user. A detailed final ergometrics protocol shows all important results in graphic and numerical form at one glance. All ergometric data can also be printed out later as often as desired, independent of the current configuration. In order to definitely and securely register arrhythmiae appearing during the exercise, two ECG channels of one's choice are continually stored as a rhythm strip. After the exercise has ended this rhythm channel can first be evaluated on the monitor and then printed in a clear manner. The complete stress test ECG, including all complexes measured in the strain stages and the affiliated continuous ECG are electronically stored and at one's disposal even after the exercise, for example for another print-out. |
